CELTIC, Central Europe. Vindelici. Mid 1st century BC. Quinarius (Silver, 12 mm, 1.77 g, 12 h), 'Büschelquinar' type. Palmette surmounted by pellet in horizontal crescent set on pellet. Rev. Horse galloping to left; above, uncertain symbol; below, pellet in dotted circle. CGB 15 (2002), 1378 var., Flesche 378 var., Nick p. 86, D4 var. and SLM 959 var. (all with crescent not set on pellet and differing reverse symbols). A very rare variety. Good very fine.
